5/81 Calf house 8 metres north- east of West Underhill Farmhouse

Calf house. Probably C18. Cob on stone rubble footings including some large granite boulders; corrugated iron roof (formerly thatch). Plan and exterior description: calf house with hayloft over facing south-east, the back is terraced into the slope. On the front, towards the left, there is a doorway with a hayloft loading hatch directly above. To right, near the top, is a beebole. Another hayloft loading hatch to rear is loaded directly from the terrace. Roof is hipped each end. Interior has plain carpentry detail including A-frame roof trusses with pegged lap- jointed collars.
