Upfield is an early 19th-century stone house with a slate roof and gables. It is three storeys high and features stone mullion windows with tracery. The interior contains shaped rooms and a good Regency staircase. A C11 lintel, carved with two "Great Beasts" and some foliage in very flat relief, was incorporated over the back door in 1874.
