Description
Glebe House is originally an inn, now a private house, dated 1695, as indicated by a small oval panel below the cross wing on the left. The house is constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins on the right, and has a Cotswold stone slate roof that is hipped, with two stone stacks to the main range and a brick stack to the cross wing. It is arranged in an L-shape with a cross-gabled wing to the left. The house has two storeys and an attic, with two gabled dormers containing paired casement windows. There are four windows to the front, featuring C19 paired casement windows. Large, three-light windows on the ground floor are likely from the 20th century, and flank a four-panel door. A large, inserted window in the gable wing has a wooden lintel. The initials MS appear above the oval panel.
