Description

The Queen's Head Inn is an 18th-century building of two storeys. It is constructed of vitreous brick with narrow red vertical strips framing the windows and doors. The roof is covered with old tiles and features brick dentil eaves. There are five windows on the first floor and three windows on the ground floor. The ground floor also has a 19th-century door, set within an early 19th-century porch. The porch has slender wood Doric columns supporting cut wood brackets and a flat hood with a panelled soffit. This porch is currently encased in 20th-century woodwork topped with a gabled tile roof; its renewal would enhance the building's appearance. A yard entry is located on the right-hand side. The inn forms a group with numbers 6 to 28.
