Description
Medbourne House has origins dating back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the early to mid-18th century and further changes in the mid-19th century. The building is two and a half storeys high, constructed from rubble with chalk, and features a tiled roof that is hipped to the left, supported by a cogged brick eaves cornice. There is a gable end chimney on the left rear wall, which has an off-centre position. The house includes two gabled dormers and three first-floor windows, which are casements with the outer two being tripartite, all having wooden lintels. On the ground floor, there is an angled bay window to the left and a glazing bar sash window with brick dressings to the right. The central entrance features a six-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed, and is sheltered by a tented porch supported by trellis posts. A modern extension has been added to the rear of the house.
