Description
St. Martins is a detached house located on Long Ashton Road, now subdivided, dating from the mid to late 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th and 20th centuries. It may incorporate an earlier cottage. The house is rendered, with the upper floors of the west elevation finished in slate hanging and features moulded stone coping. The roof is tiled and dates from the 20th century.
The west elevation has two storeys and attics, consisting of four bays. It includes a mix of French windows with segmental headed lights and one glazing bar sash window on the ground floor, along with glazing bar sash windows on the first floor. There is a panelled door with a semi-circular head located off-centre to the right, set in a moulded surround and topped with a segmental hood supported by slender cast iron columns. To the left, there is a single bay that has a 20th-century attic storey.
The east elevation rises three storeys and features five bays, showcasing a mixture of glazing bar sash windows and 2-light casements with marginal glazing. A central 20th-century door is positioned to the right.
