Description

A farmhouse, now a house, largely dates to the late 18th century, built on the site of, and incorporating elements from, a late 16th-century building. A 19th-century addition was added, with subsequent alterations. The construction is of roughly coursed slate-stone, with granite banding visible in the lower range, and asbestos slate cladding the front gable of the 19th-century addition. The roofs are slate, with a hipped roof to the left of the lower range.

The lower range has two late 20th-century plastic casement windows set within earlier openings directly below the eaves, and two plastic casement windows with segmental brick heads on the ground floor. A sloping buttress is present to the left. A valley stack with a yellow brick shaft marks the junction with the rear range. A lean-to extends to the left, descending from the hip. The 19th-century addition features two plastic casement windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor to the right of a half-glazed front door. An internal stack with a red brick shaft is located to the right.

During a resurvey in January 1988, an internal inspection was limited, but a late 16th-century granite fireplace was noted, featuring moulded jambs and a four-centred arch leading to the valley stack. Victorian encaustic tiles are present in the 19th-century addition.
