Description
Gothic House is an early to mid-19th century corner cottage located at 1498 Penzance, Leskinnick Place. It showcases a Gothic style with stucco exterior, featuring battlemented parapets and finials. The building stands two storeys high, with an end gable that has a battlemented parapet and a single first-floor window with a pointed arch. Octagonal corner pilasters topped with crenellated finials add to its distinctive character. The side elevation facing the street includes two pointed arched windows, which are adorned with thick, intricate curvilinear wood glazing bars. The chimney shafts are grouped diagonally opposed. Gothic House is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 12 (consecutive) and the Lamorna Public House.
