Pixie Nook, House Attached to the Right and Forge Cottage with Attached Former Forge

Pixie Nook is a row of three houses with an attached former forge, likely dating from the 18th century, with additions and alterations made in the mid-19th century and some 20th-century changes. The construction is of slatestone and granite rubble, with slate roofs featuring ridge tiles and gable ends. Chimneys include gable-end stacks with rubble shafts and shaped tops, and an axial stack to the central house with a cornice and shaped top.

Pixie Nook, the left-hand house, is of a simple one-room plan, with a direct entrance into the room which is heated by an axial stack to the left. Forge Cottage, attached to the right, is slightly larger and also of a one-room plan, heated by a gable-end stack. A single-storey range of outbuildings connects Forge Cottage to the forge, which is situated to the front right. The forge itself is a small single-storey building with a hipped roof to the left and a gable to the right, with rubble-shafted stacks at each end.

Pixie Nook is a two-storey building with a two-light, two-pane casement window on both the ground and first floors; a half-glazed door with a pitched hood is to the right. The left end is partly slate-hung and has a single-storey outshut to the rear. The central house is also two stories high, featuring a two-light, three-pane casement window with a granite lintel on the ground floor, a plain door within a wooden gabled porch, and a two-light, two-pane casement window on the first floor. Forge Cottage has a slightly higher roofline and two windows. The first floor has two-light casements, while the ground floor has a half-glazed door and a two-light casement set within a 20th-century glazed lean-to. Attached to the front-right of Forge Cottage is a single-storey addition with a two-light casement window on the inner side and a gable-end stack with a brick shaft. A single-storey lean-to is situated in the angle between the outhouse and the forge. The forge itself has a stable door and a two-light casement under a timber lintel. A 20th-century addition is present at the rear of Forge Cottage. The interior has not been inspected.
