Description

No. 264 High Street is a house with a shop, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with freestone dressings and features a Cotswold stone slate roof with coped raised verges. The building has two storeys and an attic with a steep gable. There are three windows, which are 2-light casements with moulded stone mullions, set beneath a continuous string course. The gable has two windows, with a single blocked window above at the apex. On the ground floor, there are 20th-century shop windows, and two central modern doors are located under a single flat stone hood supported by brackets, with the left-hand door having a chamfered surround.
