Description
Ormonde Hall, originally known as Bacons Farmhouse, is a 15th-century timber-framed house that was restored and significantly enlarged in 1922. The original section features two storeys and three windows, with a combination of plaster and painted brick infilling, and diagonal braces on the first floor. A small gable with moulded bargeboards and a pendant is located at the center of the north front, beneath which is a bay that extends across the ground and first floors. The first floor contains an original window with wooden mullions, transoms, and diamond-shaped panes. The east end of the first floor is jettied on brackets, and the roof is half-hipped, covered with Horsham slabs. The south front has been completely modernized, and there is a large L-shaped addition from 1922 on the northwest side.
