Description
The former threshing barn at Park Farm is a 17th-century timber-framed structure built on a brick plinth, which has since been concreted. It is clad in weatherboarding and features a half-hipped slate roof. The barn consists of six bays, with some posts exhibiting gunstock jowls while others have a cut profile. It has a staggered midrail and curved tension braces. The two end bays appear to be older than the four central bays, as they are constructed with a base of stone rubble instead of brick. The east end wall dates from the 19th century above the midrail, while the west end wall includes two curved braces and a midrail, although much of the infill is of a later date. The roof is supported by staggered purlins, angled queen posts, and pegged rafters.
