Description

Numbers 73, 75, and 79 Lower Street is a 15th-century timber-framed building of "Wealden" type. It has two storeys and three windows, featuring plaster and painted brick infilling. The structure includes curved braces and originally had a recessed center with projecting wings, where the first floor oversailed. These wings have since been underbuilt in brick, which is now painted. A bressumer is located between the sections, and there are sprocket eaves supported by curved braces. The building has a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof and casement windows.
