Description
Manor House Buildings are located on Ashington Park Lane and date back to the early 18th century. These farm buildings are situated immediately east of a house that was once occupied by William Penn. This house was part of the inheritance of his wife, Gulielma Springett, who lived there from 1676 until her death in 1693. William Penn also resided in the house during his time in England. He sold the property in 1702 to James Butler, who demolished the original house and built a new one on the site. This new house was later demolished by the Duke of Norfolk in 1806. The surviving barn and farm buildings likely originate from James Butler's early 18th-century mansion. The buildings are constructed of red brick and feature a tiled roof, a stringcourse, and an eaves cornice.
