Description

Nutbourne House is a house dating probably from the 18th century and the mid-19th century. The front of the house is red brick, with the sides rendered, and it has a slate hipped roof. It is comprised of two parallel sections. The front facade, likely dating from the early to mid-19th century, is two storeys high and features three bays. It has sash windows with glazing bars in plain reveals, set under flat arches or wedge lintels, which have been painted over. A ground floor window on the right-hand side has been altered into a French door. The doorcase features Tuscan pilasters, an open pediment, and a radial fanlight. The side facing the road is rendered and includes a dentil band at the eaves. The rear range is lower and has a plinth but no other decorative band. It features three-light casement windows with glazing bars to the first floor only. There are three chimneys. Attached to the south end of the rear range is a single-storey outhouse, also rendered, with a garage door.
