Description
Barnham Court is an unusual mid-17th century house designed in the style of Kew Palace and Broome Park in Kent. The building has three storeys and features five windows. It is constructed of red brick with a brick cornice above the ground floor and a heavier cornice with modillions above the first floor. Each window bay on the ground and first floors is flanked by brick pilasters. The house is topped with three shaped Dutch gables and has a tiled roof. The sash windows are fitted with glazing bars. The entrance features a rusticated brick doorway adorned with a triglyph frieze and a pediment. There are 19th-century additions that lower the elevation to the south.
