Description

Lollingdon Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse with significant alterations in the early 18th century and later additions. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with grey brick headers. The roof is of old plain tiles, with a brick ridge stack located to the right of the centre and an end stack to the left. The farmhouse is two storeys and an attic, with a five-window front. A sash door, set within a painted wood architrave, is positioned to the left of the centre. To the left of the door are two four-light wooden casement windows with segmental brick heads. A central window is a three-light wooden casement with a similar segmental brick head. A blocked doorway is located to the right of the centre, alongside two further three-light wooden casement windows. The ground floor is divided by a flat brick band. The first floor features three four-light wooden casement windows to the left and centre, and two cross-windows to the right. There are two gabled dormers in the attic. The rear of the building exhibits timber framing with red brick infill. The interior has not been inspected. A subsidiary cross-wing is located to the right.
