Description
The Wolfson and Rayne Buildings at St Anne's College are two connected blocks of college rooms built between 1960 and 1969 by the architects Howell, Killick, Partridge, and Amis. The buildings are constructed from precast concrete and board-marked site cast concrete, featuring flat roofs. Each block has four storeys, with convex sides that curve around a central circular staircase. The elevations include alternate bays with canted out balconies that have glass fronts, and full-height windows that are recessed behind them. Between these balconies, there are smaller, square-headed windows that are flush with the wall. The ground floors facing the main college quad consist partly of strip windows and are partly open. There is also a single-storey open walkway link that has a concrete roof.
