Description
The Martyrs' Memorial is a significant structure located on Magdalen Street, designed by Sir Gilbert Scott in 1841. This memorial, built from Permian dolomite and Bath stone, features a Gothic design reminiscent of the Queen Eleanor Cross type. It serves as the southern terminal to St Giles' Street. The memorial underwent repairs around 1920 and was cleaned and partly restored in 1949.
