Description
The Manor House, including the stable block to the east, is a building likely dating from the 18th to 19th century. It features a three-storeyed central section facing south, flanked by two-storeyed recessed wings. The south elevation has an ashlar front set on rubble, with a stone coved cornice and a hipped brown tiled roof. There are stone-faced and yellow brick chimney shafts. The central section includes a pediment with a sundial in a blocked circular lunette, a stone band at the first floor, a Doric-style porch with two columns, and five sash windows with plain reveals. The east wing, which is slightly recessed and made of ashlar, has been extended to the east and contains four sash windows. The west wing is more recessed than the east and has three sash windows. The north elevation is similar to the south but features a well-proportioned two-storeyed bay with three sash windows, a band at the first floor, a moulded cornice, and a parapet. The stable block, which is contemporary with the house, is located to the east and is included in the listing.
