Description

The Old Rectory is an early 19th-century rectory, now used as a house. It is constructed of yellow stock brick with a slate roof. The building has a plinth and box eaves to a hipped roof, with chimney stacks positioned centrally to the left and right. The fenestration is regular, incorporating five glazing bar sash windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor, all with gauged heads. The central doorway is a six-panel design with raised and fielded panels, set within a glazed Tuscan porch featuring two columns in antis, a cornice, and a relieving arch above. A recessed service wing is present to the right, with one glazing bar sash window to each floor. The left return front includes a two-storey canted bay window; the central sash extends entirely through an internal wall to allow for a door leading to the garden.
