Description

The gateway and wall to Palace Gardens, dated 1888, are constructed from Kentish ragstone. The gateway features a semi-circular arch with a shell-shaped keystone above it. A date stone is positioned above the arch and is flanked by decorative swags. To the left, there is a ragstone wall approximately 7 feet high. This structure is located to the northwest of the Archbishop's Palace and is part of a group that includes several notable buildings and walls surrounding the area.
