Description

The Church of St Mildred is a building that dates back to the 15th century, with some elements possibly being older. It is constructed from flint and ragstone, featuring a west tower made entirely of ragstone from the 15th century. The windows have been renewed over time. The chancel and nave are not divided, and the roof is supported by braced trussed rafters without tie beams, which necessitates the presence of buttresses on both the north and south walls. A vestry and a north porch were added in the 19th century, and the roof is tiled. Inside, there are marble wall tablets commemorating Adye from 1660 and Wentworth from 1681.
