Description

This is a headstone commemorating Henry Rolfe, located about 18 metres west of the tower of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of stone. The headstone features an undulating top, which is carved with a central coffin and spades, flanked by skulls and palm fronds. There are twin inscription panels; the left side is dedicated to Henry Rolfe, who died in 1753, while the right side is blank.
