Description

This is a headstone dedicated to John Preble, located about 22 metres west of the tower of the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Elham. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of stone. The headstone features a segmental top adorned with a skull, crossed trumpets, approximately five small cherubs' heads, and foliage. It is inscribed with the name of John Preble, who died in 1750.
