Description

House. Built in the early 18th century. The house is constructed of relatively thin red bricks laid in a stretcher bond, with a flint plinth. It has a plain tile roof, a plat band to each elevation, and a hipped roof with a gablet to the left. A brick ridge stack is located at the right end. The windows are irregular and consist of 2-paned casements, with one three-light window under the eaves towards the centre and one small four-pane single light window under the stack. A half-glazed door is situated to the left of the centre. A late 20th century single-storey brick wing extends forwards from the right end of the front elevation, featuring a hipped tile roof, two three-light casements to the left side, and a boarded door. The interior includes axial beams of relatively small dimensions, a brick fireplace with a stepped chamfered back and a wooden bressumer, stairs behind the stack, and a ceiled roof.
