Description
The Shepherd and Crook is an early 19th-century public house located in Burmarsh. It is constructed of stone with brick dressings, rendered to the front and left side, and has a slate roof with hipped form. The building has a rendered plinth, a plat band, and flat eaves soffits. A stack is visible towards the rear on the left side, and another at the right end. The front facade is regular, consisting of three windows with two tripartite sashes on either side of a central sash window with 12 panes, all featuring segmental headed glazing bars. Ground floor windows are tripartite. A central door is set within a tall, round-headed architrave with a plain fanlight. The interior, only partly inspected, includes a tall-ceilinged room to the right, featuring a fluted dado rail.
