Description
The Church of All Saints is a 14th-century church, largely rebuilt following the incorporation of some pre-Conquest masonry in the chancel. Constructed primarily of flint with stone dressings, the chancel features puddingstone. The church has a tiled roof and a nave with a gable at its west end, containing a triple arched bellcote. The west door bears the date 1673 and the initials W E C W. Inside, a 14th-century chancel arch is adorned with finely sculpted caryatid corbels. Features include a piscina and a triple enbattled sedilia. Several good 17th and 18th-century wall monuments are present. The churchyard contains oval headstones, 18th-century headstones with cherub or skull motifs, and a chest tomb.
