Description

Whatmer Hall is an early 19th-century building located at 71 Sturry Island Road. The front of the building is likely timber-framed and is two storeys high with attics, finished in stucco. It has a slate roof featuring three dormers. The cornice and parapet slope down in front of the dormers, with ball caps at the corners of the front and at the edges of the central gap. On the first floor, there are three casement windows with Venetian shutters, and the central window has an iron balconette. The ground floor includes a verandah with French windows. The entrance features a doorcase with sidelights and a door made up of six fielded panels.
