Description

Oasthouses and granary to the east of Cruickshanks are a cluster of three round oasthouses, which is unusual for Sussex and more typical of Kent. They date from the 19th century. The oasthouses are constructed of red brick with grey headers, while the granary is made of red brick and weatherboarding. The roofs are tiled and feature cowls on the oasthouses. This site is considered one of the best examples of its kind in Sussex.
