Description
Tanners Manor is a large house built in the early 17th century by Samuel Fuller, and enlarged during the 19th century. The original, L-shaped section faces north-east and has two storeys and three windows. It is constructed of red brick with a stone stringcourse above each floor. The roof is tiled. A projecting gable includes an attic window and is topped with vases at the window and at the apex and angles. The windows are casements with two tiers of three or five lights, featuring stone mullions and transoms. A four-centred stone doorway is inscribed with the initials 'S. F.'. The gable end facing north-west also has vase finials. The south-east front, with five windows, retains two original window bays on the east side. The similarly gabled projection and the section to the west of it were added in the 19th century. The house has group value.
