Description
Forest House is a two-storey building designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, with work completed in 1897 and 1905, adding to an older house. It is constructed of red brick and features a tiled roof. The windows have brick mullions and leaded lights. The entrance front is L-shaped, with a porch set diagonally in the angle, featuring a round-headed doorway. Above the door is a stone roundel displaying a shield and the date 1905. A tiled cornice adorns the structure. The garden front has three round-headed windows in the center of the ground floor, topped by a parapet. On either side, the roof slopes down over flanking garden porches. The sides of the building feature stepped gables from which tall square chimney stacks rise.
