Description
The Old Manor House is a building from the 18th century, likely dating around 1740, located on the south-west side of Market Street in Hailsham. It features two storeys and an attic, with five windows and three dormers. The exterior is made of red brick with grey headers, and includes a stringcourse, cornice, and parapet, topped with a tiled roof. The dormers have pediments, with the central one being curved and the outer ones triangular. The glazing bars are intact. The entrance has a doorway flanked by narrow windows, with a flat hood supported by carved brackets, and an eight-panel fielded door. On the north wall, there is a rainwater head dated 1740 and a chimney breast. Inside, the house contains an early 18th-century staircase and panelling.
