Description
Wadhurst Castle is a building constructed between 1818 and 1820, with remodelling and extension to the west around 1839 by Edward Buckton Lamb, who lived from 1806 to 1869. The castle was further enlarged in 1870 and underwent repairs after fire damage in 1933. It stands two storeys high and features seven windows. The exterior is made of ashlar stone and includes a castellated parapet. The windows are casement style with stone mullions and transoms. A notable architectural feature is the two-storeyed projecting porch, along with a projecting octagonal turret located to the west.
