Description
The Gallery is a house that was originally built as stables around 1740 for Sir John Fagg of Wiston. It was later converted into a gatehouse with a drawing office above by Edward Maufe after 1926. The building is constructed of red brick and features a hipped roof. It has an eaves cornice and a slightly projecting central bay with a pediment on the southwest side. The structure is two storeys tall and has three windows on the southwest elevation. The first floor windows are sashes with nine panes, while the ground floor includes round-headed windows and a central door. The rear elevation has four sashes, a balcony with an ironwork letter 'M', and two rainwater heads also featuring the letter 'M' and a shell. The ground floor has three round-headed arches.
