Description

Holmhurst is a house built in 1610, with the date displayed above the doorway. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring gables. The front is constructed of red brick and has three windows. The outer window bays project and are topped with gables supported by kneelers. The windows are casement style, consisting of two tiers of five lights, with stone mullions and transoms. There is a chimney breast at each end of the house. A parallel range was added to the back in 1650. On the north side, there is a modern porch. Inside, the house contains early 17th-century fireplaces, overmantels, panelling, and a staircase.
