Description

Priory House Hotel, dated 1700, is a three-storey building with an attic and five windows. It features three gabled dormers and a plastered front, with the ground floor having a rusticated finish. Above the ground floor is a cornice, and there is a modillion eaves cornice with egg and dart moulding beneath the modillions. The roof is tiled, and the windows are set in moulded architrave surrounds, retaining their glazing bars. The central first-floor window has a scrolled pediment above it. The doorway has a flat hood supported by carved brackets, a narrow rectangular fanlight, and a door with six fielded panels. Inside, there is a good staircase.
