Description

More House, originally known as More House Farmhouse, is a Grade II listed building located on Ditchling Road in Wivelsfield. This house was originally a moated structure, with remnants of the moat still visible to the south and west of the building, near the gazebo. It was home to the More family until 1769. The building has an L-shaped design, with the eastern section dating back to the 16th century and altered in the 18th century or later. The western wing was added by John Fuller between 1769 and 1780. The house has two storeys and features five windows. The ground floor is faced with cement, while the upper floor is tile-hung. It has a tiled roof and retains sash windows with intact glazing bars.
