Description
Royal Mail House is a mid-19th century building that stands three storeys tall with attics. It is constructed of red brick, featuring a grooved and stuccoed ground floor. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and there are six dormers. Architectural details include a stuccoed cornice, long and short quoins, and bands between the floors. The building has ten windows in total, with the sixth bay slightly projecting and adorned with a pediment above and a porch at the ground floor. The windows are sash style, set in moulded architraves, and the first-floor windows have cornices and brackets.
