Description
No 100 on High Street is a 18th-century building that has undergone significant alterations. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features a steeply pitched slate roof with stone-coped gables and brick chimney stacks at both ends. The building has two 19th-century gabled dormers and a moulded wooden eaves cornice.
It stands two storeys tall, with a plinth and a band at the first floor level. The central entrance consists of a five-panelled door with panelled reveals, framed by a doorcase featuring clustered shafts with caps that support an entablature and a bracketed cornice. On either side of the entrance are 19th-century canted bay windows, with an entry door on the left and a panelled recess above. The first floor has three sash windows, with the outer ones being wider than the central window, all featuring 19th-century glazing.
Additionally, there is a small single-storey wing to the south, which also dates from the 19th century and includes a central door flanked by two sash windows.
