Description

The building at 62 and 64 High Street dates to the late 18th century and has been altered since. It is constructed of stone, with a modern tiled roof and brick chimney stacks. A modern hipped dormer window has been added to the roof of number 62.

The building is two storeys high, with an attic to number 62. Number 62 has a modern shop window and a four-pane sash window to the first floor. Number 64 has a five-panelled door on its left-hand side, with panelled reveals. The door is set within a doorcase featuring slender columns that engage at the necking and bend over in scrolls to form brackets supporting a flat moulded hood. A sash window with three wide panels is located to the left of the door, and a similar window is above it on the first floor.
