Description
Locks Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse featuring a two-bay lobby entrance. An early 18th-century two-bay lobby entrance was added to the front, creating an L shape. The front wing is constructed of red brick with black headers arranged in a diaper bond pattern. It has a tiled roof with end brick chimney stacks and is two storeys high with two windows. There is a string course and two 12-pane sash windows set in moulded wooden architraves. A central 19th-century gabled porch is present, along with a brick outshut at the rear. The left wing is built of brick in stretcher bond with an old tiled roof and one brick chimney stack. The rear wing is timber-framed, featuring an oak bressumer above the kitchen fireplace and ceiling beams with lamb's tongue stops.
