Description
Riverside House is a detached house built around the early 18th century, with extensions from the 19th century and alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed of rendered brick, featuring a slate roof on the front pitch that falls to a parapet, while the rear has a steeper concrete tiled roof. The front facade has three storeys, while the rear has two storeys plus dormers. The building consists of five main bays, with a slightly projecting center of three bays added in the 20th century that includes the entrance. The windows on the first floor are square-headed, while the outer windows were formerly arched. There are raised bands between the storeys. Inside, there are two well-preserved early 18th-century rooms located on the ground floor, east of the center, both retaining their original panelling, fireplaces, and cornices.
