96-102, Lambeth Road

This is a late 18th century terrace of six properties, numbered 96 to 102 Lambeth Road. The buildings are each three storeys high with an attic and basement, and each has two windows. They are constructed of stock brick with parapets, though the upper parts have been rebuilt. The roofs are slated and feature dormers in a mansard style. The basement and first floor are stuccoed, and the sash windows have gauged flat brick arches. The first-floor windows are taller and have patterned, bowed wrought iron balconies. A set of four steps leads to each front door terrace, accompanied by wrought iron railings enclosing the area and steps. Each property has a six-panel door with a plain fanlight above, set within a round, gauged brick arch. Nos. 100 and 102 feature impost and key blocks, with No. 102 having decorative masks. A blue plaque from the Greater London Council on No. 100 commemorates that William Bligh, the commander of the Bounty, lived there from 1754 to 1817.
