Description
The Church of Holy Trinity is a Roman Catholic church built in 1851 by Wardell, with a spire added later by J A Hansom. Constructed of ragstone with ashlar dressings, the church has a steeply pitched roof. It is designed in the Decorated style. The building includes a tower and spire to the southwest, a five-bay nave with a low clerestory and lean-to aisles, and a three-bay second north aisle. Inside, the nave features octagonal columns and an arch braced roof. A baptistery is located below the tower, and a north porch provides access. The church contains a painted hanging rood.
