Description

A terrace of six houses numbered 75 to 85, with attached railings, was likely built in the late 18th century as part of the development of Lord Camden's Estate. The houses were probably built by Joseph Kirkman and Alexander Hendy, who were among the first speculative builders following the Lord Camden's Estate Act of 1788, intended to provide housing for industrious artisans.

The houses are constructed of yellow stock brick, with Nos. 75 and 85 having channelled stucco ground floors. A continuous stucco sill band runs across the first floor. The roofs are slated mansard roofs, each with a dormer window and slab chimney-stacks on the party walls. The houses are three storeys high, with attics and basements. They feature round-arched entrances with rusticated keystones (except No. 89), fanlights, and later doors; the entrances of the end houses are set back on returns. The recessed sash windows have gauged brick flat arches. Parapets top the buildings.

The interior details were not inspected but are noted to contain some original features. Attached cast-iron railings define the areas. The houses appeared on the Stockdale Map of 1797.
