Description

Nos 1 to 4 and the adjoining premises to the north in Denston were originally two 17th century timber-framed and plastered houses, now converted into a range of cottages. They were renovated in the 20th century. The cottages feature a stepped roofline, with part of the building being two storeys and part one storey with attics. The windows are casement style from the 20th century, and the doors have glazed upper panels. The roof is thatched and hipped at the north end, with three dormer windows. All the listed buildings in Top Green form a group.
