Description

Dating to the 16th and 17th centuries, and subsequently altered, 72 and 73 North Street consist of stucco buildings with lined and painted surfaces, revealing a timber frame with some wattle and daub on the returns. Number 72 is a two-storey, two-window structure with a tile roof. Number 73 is three storeys high, with a single window on the ground floor, where a shop extends underneath number 72, and has a slate roof. A modern metal casement window is present on the first floor of number 73. The windows of both buildings are primarily flush frame sash windows with glazing bars. Numbers 71 to 73 together form a notable group.
