Description

The buildings at 16 and 18 High Street likely date to the 17th century, with significant alterations occurring in the 18th century and later. They are timber-framed and now plastered, with roofs covered in slate and tiles. A cross wing is situated at the north end, featuring an upper storey that projects over a small bay window; this window has sash glazing bars. The main facade has a three-window arrangement, with flush-frame sashes retaining their original glazing bars. Photographs are held by the National Monuments Record. Nos. 6 to 32 (even numbers) are designated as a group.
