Description
The Wain, formerly known as the Waggon and Horses Inn, is an 18th-century building located on Church Street. It has been altered to serve as a private residence. The structure is one storey high with an attic, built from flint and featuring red brick dressings. It includes two dormer casements and two near flush frame sash windows on the ground floor, one of which is a two-light window with glazing bars. At the rear, there is a former outbuilding connected to the main structure. Inside, the property features two-panel doors with wrought hinges, hewn chamfered beams, and roof members. The Wain, along with No. 21 Wisteria Cottage and No. 33, forms a group of buildings of historical significance.
